“The Drift of the Waters” played by the Assai Quartet

cropped-cropped-copy-cropped-quarteto-assaiOn the 10th september, at the Porto Music Conservatoire, @ 7 pm, the Assai Quartet will perform The Drift of the Waters – a work composed by Luís Tinoco and dedicated to the oboist Andrew Swinnerton.

This piece was later recorded on CD by the Galliard Ensemble, for the Deux-Elles label. You can listen to the 2nd movement here.

The Assai Quartet is formed by Marco Pereira (flute); Hugo Ribeiro (oboe); Cândida Oliveira (clarinet); and Lurdes Carneiro (Bassoon)

“Lídia” shortlisted for the Portuguese Author’s Society 2015 Award – “Contemporary Music Category”

With choreography by Paulo Ribeiro and composed following a commission from the National Dance Company, Lídia was premièred in November 2014, at the Camões Theatre, and performed by the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra soloists, conducted by Pedro Neves.
