On the 23rd of January, 6 p.m., Sala Suggia, Mei Yi Foo (piano) and the Casa da Música Porto Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Pablo Rus Broseta, will perform Diptych for piano and orchestra, a work composed by Luís Tinoco in 2005 and dedicated to Manuel Dias da Fonseca (1923-2015). The world première of this piece took place at this same venue in April 2005, performed by António Rosado and conducted by Martin André. Co-commissioned by the Orquestra Gulbenkian and the OSESP (São Paulo Symphony Orchestra), The Blue Voice of the Water will now have its World Première at the Auditorium, on the 25th and the 26th of February, under Susanna Mälkki‘s baton.
These two performances will be followed by the Brazilian première, at the Sala São Paulo in May, with the OSESP conducted by James Gaffigan.
