On the 19th September, 7.30 p.m., at Sala Suggia / Casa da Música, the Remix Ensemble lead by Peter Rundel will perform “Spam!” – for ensemble and narrator. In this work, Jorge Prendas will read and sing texts collected from electronic spam and improbable articles published on-line and other sources, set to music by Luís Tinoco in 2009 following a commission by the OrchestrUtopica.

The forthcoming performance is part of a “Humorous Notes” / humor in music program that will also feature other compositions by George Brecht, Salvatore Sciarrino, Francesco Filidei and Mauricio Kagel.
On the 25th of March, 6.00 pm., at Casa da Música’s Sala Suggia, the Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música conducted by Olari Elts will perform the Portuguese première of Frisland – a symphonic work dedicated to the American composer and jazz guitar player Bill Frisell, and written by Luís Tinoco in 2014 for the Seattle Symphony’s project “Sonic Evolution“.
Frisland was premièred at the Benaroya Hall in Seattle by the Seattle Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ludovic Morlot, on the 6th of June 2014. You can listen to an excerpt of this performance following this video here.
