“Cercle Intérieur” – World Première

Cité de La Musique

On the 24th November at the Cité de La Musique in Paris, the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Pascal Rophé will give the first performance of “Cercle Intérieur” – for 85 players scattered among the audience.
Commissioned to Luís Tinoco by the Radio France, this piece was scored for the same orchestral setting of “Terretektohr”, a work composed by Iannis Xennakis in 1965-66 and that will also be performed in this same concert.
The program includes two more works, György Ligeti’s “Lontano” for large orchestra, and the World première of “L’Amphithéâtre” by Michaël Lévinas.
