Seattle Symphony premières “Frisland”

frisland2On the 6th of June, 8:00 pm, at the Benaroya Hall in Seattle, Ludovic Morlot will lead the Seattle Symphony Orchestra in the world première of Frisland, a symphonic work commissioned to Luís Tinoco as part of  the Sonic Evolution project that celebrates the past and future of Seattle’s music scene. Morlot_SeattleSymphony

Inspired by and dedicated to the composer and jazz guitarist Bill Frisell, Frisland will be joined by another two premières of works written by Gabriel Prokofiev and Du Yun, both also commissioned by Ludovic Morlot and the Seattle Symphony for the Sonic Evolution scheme.
