Following the Portuguese première of FrisLand in March, Casa da Música will give three new performances of Luís Tinoco‘s works in May, starting with Soundless Coast for Jazz orchestra, played by the Matosinhos Jazz Orchestra and conducted by Pedro Guedes. Two days later, the Porto Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Martin André, will feature Before Spring (a score originally written for an ensemble of 16 musicians and later adapted for symphony orchestra). This cycle of performances will then close with Invention on Landscape, a piece commissioned back in 2001 for the Porto 2001 European Cultural Capital and premièred by the Remix Ensemble with Sarah Ioannides (conductor). For the forthcoming performance, the Remix will now be conducted by Pedro Neves.
