Following last week’s performance of Short Cuts (percussion quartet version) in the Centro Cultural de Belém (Lisbon), the original version of this work will now return to the UK, with a new performance by the Apollo Saxophone Quartet at the Alwinton Summer Concerts, on the 28th of May, 7.30 p.m. For more details of this performance, follow this link here. On this same day (the 28th), at 5.00 p.m., the Escola Superior de Musica Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Vasco Pearce de Azevedo, will perform Zapping - for orchestra, at the Vianna da Motta Auditorium (at the ESML). This work was composed by Luís Tinoco in 2004 as a response to a S. Carlos Theatre’s commission to pay a tribute to Mozart and Haydn’s late symphonies. The ESML’s Orchestra program including Zapping will then be repeated on the 29th of May, at the Trindade Theatre in Lisbon.
